Our promises

Six things we’ll always do

Never hidden

Your child sees a notice in words for their age, and the DTEX Family shield is always by the clock. There is no secret mode.

No keystrokes, camera or microphone

DTEX Family never records keystrokes or directly reads file contents, and never uses the camera or microphone.

Encrypted

Pictures and the text read from them are encrypted on the computer and in your family’s account.

Deleted on time

Pictures and their text are kept for 7, 14 or 30 days — you choose. App notes are kept for up to 12 months.

Not on your account

Pictures are never taken on parents’ accounts, or while a computer is idle, locked or paused.

Support can’t look

DTEX support can help with your computers and account, but can’t see names, activity, pictures or the text in them.

What your child is told

The same facts you get, in their words

The first time DTEX Family runs, your child sees a short notice about exactly what it does. Teens get the full detail; younger children get simpler words. If what it does changes — for example, you turn pictures on — they see the notice again.

  • What my parent can see is one click away for teenagers, on their computer
  • They see your answer and note when they ask for something
  • Every notice ends with where to turn if something online worries them

About the AI

AI that explains, never judges

DTEX AI helps you notice what matters without reading everything yourself. It works for you, within limits you set.

  • Off until you agree, and only for activity recorded after that
  • You choose the risks to look for, for each age group
  • Notifications describe what appeared on screen; they never label your child
  • It never blocks, pauses or changes anything on a computer

If something worries your child

Every notice tells your child where to turn if something online worries or upsets them: a parent or another adult they trust. Younger children are also told they’re not in trouble. DTEX Family is there to start those conversations.

If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
